I don't know how many times I've sat here, written an entry and then had all my windows close on me. Yeah, I know I should write this on my word pad or whatever, but I'm lazy. I know it. I like to do things the fast way. But that's not always true of me. It's just that when I feel like writing an entry I don't want to fuss around. It's bad enough to fuss when I'm writing my blog, the paid one, that is. I love writing it, don't get me wrong. I just hate the mucking around I have to go to, just in case the windows decide to just shut on me, which happens almost every time I come online. Whatever...It's been a busy weekend for me. We had people over for lunch yesterday, but both hubby and the little guy weren't feeling so well. I ended up taking the little guy to the doctor this morning. He has a chest infection and is on antibiotics. Poor kid. His mood improved a little yesterday because there was a little girl to play with. It was good for me, too, because he was busy playing and not bothering me. Some of the friends we have over only have older kids these days. I really had a good time relaxing and talking. I need that every now and then.
I had a nice little cheque arrive in the mail today. A couple of Saturdays ago I did a writing workshop, which was loads of fun. Today the money came. Thank you, Jesus. I ran out after getting the little guy down for a nap to put it into the bank. He is still napping most arvos. It just depends. He's not well, so it's easy. I don't always expect him to nap, but most times he does.
I'm feeling pretty good today. You know, just one of those days where you feel light and lovely. It sure beats the days when you feel heavy and horrible. I did write about the little accident my daughter had last week, but the window closed and I couldn't be bothered rewriting it. On Saturday her and her dad got out the front and did a bit of a repair on the bent fender. It actually looks pretty good now. The only thing she needs to do is find a guard for the headlight, she's already replaced the bulb, and buy a secondhand bumper. The bumper only looks bad when you see it up close. She's happy, too, as she thought she wouldn't be able to drive at night in particular. She was ok in the accident, by the way, and so was the lady my daughter hit, or at least her car. It was just a little prang. Still shook her up, the poor thing.
I'm just enjoying the peace and quiet. Hubby and the little guy are napping. I've got a cold back, but am feeling too lazy to get up and put on a jumper. I don't know if I mentioned that I entered a particular jewellery contest and was shortlisted in the top 25. I had to send my precious entry in once they'd selected it. I keep wondering about the judging, but try not to think too much about it. You know what I mean? Anyway, I think I will try and finish this now. I'm all done for the day. At least this part is all done. A mother's job is never done.
